Now everyone can fly high
|
|
Salam..
I was a bit unhappy when my laptop had its operating system crashed, plus nonfunctional CD-ROM, making it difficult to install new windows and driver after being formatted. At the moment I have to use abah's laptop to finish up the editing.
This is just a preview from a total of 40 edited photos:
I'm not going to share much about the second photography task in this entry, as my focus is now diverted to the upcoming 2009 FLY HIGH OZ & NZ CAMP, which will take place at Institut Latihan Islam Malaysia, Bangi. This camp basically aims at exposing the students who are going to further their study overseas, especially Australia and New Zealand with appropriate knowledge and experience from the seniors. For further details, check out this link:

I just finished up the poster for the main speaker; Ust Hasrizal Abdul Jamil.
He is the webmaster for http://saifulislam.com/. I strongly recommend the relevant student to join this program as we are trying to benefit you as much as we can.

Baby @ Kid's Photography
|
|
All praise is due to Allah for the happiness and blessing showered upon this life up till this moment. May He retain this wonderful gift eternally.
In this entry, I would like to share my new experience on kid's photography. This is one of my favorite elements in photography. I've gone through some readings on the technique and skills. I like shooting kids photos since their expression is sincere, untouched. As this is my first trial, I very much welcome any constructive comments or suggestions.
I'm also in the process of editing photos taken from Farid's http://www.momentville.com/mahligaidakwah wedding yesterday. Hopefully will be finished before next Thursday. Till then, see ya..

1st Task Completed

Salam Aidil Adha to all...
It has been raining heavily since yesterday. Up till now, none of the cows are sacrificed yet. Hopefully tomorrow will be okay. The landslide at Bukit Antarabangsa the other day worried me a bit since our house in Bandar Sri Putera is somehow uphill. The pipe underneath our house has a leakage since February. Hopefully the soil structure is still strong enough.
By the way, as I promised before, in this entry I will upload more photos of my cousin's wedding last week. It took about 5 days to complete a wedding album of 80 edited photos, 1 A4 size potrait photo, video clip and all photos burned on a dvd.
Congratz to all my friends on completing their degree this year. I'm happy for you guys. 13 of December will be a big day for me...hehe..

The Very First Assignment
|
|
Salam...
It has been about 2 weeks since I'm back home. Hot and wet weather really makes it hard for me to adapt, especially when going out. I helped ibu & abah painting our house yesterday. Its better with the new look.
By the way, I started my first task as a wedding photographer for my cousin's wedding last Sunday. It was a bit tiring though, but I personally enjoyed doing it. I'm still in the stage of editing the photos, it took longer that I thought. Nonetheless, it is fun, as I learn more from time to time. There are 2 more weddings awaited on my schedule. At least, I have something to do throughout this holiday, plus getting some pocket money.
Those who have friends or you yourself thinking of hiring a wedding photographer, you are more than welcome to contact me at 017-6714128. Price is negotiable. But look at my art work first before you decide okay..
This is just the preview. InshaAllah more photos will be updated later...till then, bubbye..

The Flowers and Me
|
|
Salam to all..
I'm wondering if it is okay to put up photos of size 800x600 pixels on this fp. I used to had 1028x872 before, but I reckoned they were just too big. By having smaller pixel, the picture might appear sharper, as the number of dpi decreases. But I'm okay with the current size, since I'm considering people downloading the photos and used them as wallpaper or such.
I was shocked by a big breaking news that my mum told me when I called her this morning. Probably this is the biggest one in my life. No word could describe my feeling at the moment. I thank Allah for making things easy for me. I want nothing except for His blessings, as well as my parents'. Its kinda bit earlier than expected, but there is obviously nothing wrong with it. All I have to do is just to prepare myself for that thing.
In this entry, I just want to share couple of photos of flowers taken around Ilam Garden and Botanical Garden. Having said about the flowers, it reminds me of a story I've heard some times ago. There was a teacher asking her student to pick up a flower on a garden. There were 12 rows of flowers planted. The flower should be the best flowers of all that were there, and the student was given 3 days to complete his task. At the end of the first day, he finished 4 rows, but he came back with nothing in his hand. He just couldn't find the best one as he kept thinking there might be something better in the next row. He then continued on the next 4 rows in the following day, but he still couldn't make up his mind. On the last day, the teacher said that the student MUST come up with his choice before he finishes the last row. Feeling a bit rushed, worried and desperate, he finally picked up a flower on the last rows, which was actually not as good as the flowers on the previous rows he had seen before. With a pinch of disappointment, he returned to the teacher with his final choice.
Here is what the teacher said to him: Choosing the flowers is like finding a partner for life. Sometimes the right person is already there before our eyes, but we keep denying it since we are always looking for a better one. We think that we deserved to get a person with criteria that we dreamed of. So we keep on searching and rejecting, until we come to a point that we left with minimal choices, as we are getting older and older everyday. At those point of time, we tend to accept anyone who approaches us, only if, there is any.
So my friends, do not wait until we become old enough only to find Mr or Ms Perfect. We are not that good either. Stop searching for perfection, but start becoming a better person each day. InshaAllah we will find the right person one day.
That's all. Thanks.

Fwisbee
|
|
I took photos of some fellas playing frisbee at ilam field almost everyday. They are mastering in it. I'm still learning about panning people movement, but I found it real hard at this moment to get a good shot. Probably need more practices.
I'll be leaving Christchurch in a week time. I'm going to miss all those golden moments with some of my mates that I'll not be seeing next year. Really, I mean it. Albeit there was not always a happy memory for me, the hard times I went through really taught me the meaning of life. The friendship built was priceless, despite imperfections that needed to be corrected along the way ahead. I learned that its good to be friend with many people; you will learn a lot. But they won't always be there when they're in need. Those who stay right beside you, are the ones that really care about you. You might not realize it until they are gone. So in short, let us appreciate people around us before we actually lose them....before its too late..

Test Power
|
|
This is what I do when I have nothing to do (well, I actually do it most of the time..).
PHOTOSHOPPING!!!
This entry has nothing to do with an intention to show off of anything.. I just like the art. It's hard to describe, but the results speak out the story behind.
I just realized that its not what we get that defines our live, but how we use it to make a living. Some people seems like having less money or wealth, but they tend to live happier than a multimillionaire chap. Their family filled with lots and lots of love, as compared to a CEO family.
So in short, aim for what you value the most in life, and focus your endeavor to achieve it..

My New Baby
|
|
Assalamualaikum semua...
My new baby has arrived last Thursday night. But i just got it off Ilam office on the Friday morn. It's Canon EOS 40D, came together with 17 - 85 mm 1:4 - 5.6 IS USM Canon lens, 4Gb CF Card and Lowerpro camera bag. The total cost was quite reasonable as that person got it in the first place as an unwanted gift. Thanx to those who lended me some money to help me get hold of this flash big gun aye.
Since this is my first time having a DSLR ( I just knew it recently about the acronym as well as how it operates), it took quite a while to learn and play with all the settings and variables (sounds like Matlab...ohhhh~), before I add up some creativity in it.
Well, pictures below are just randomly taken during the first and second day of me having it handy. Its really powerful, you can expect it from the price you pay. I'm still learning about using it. I plan to have photo session especially for those who are going to go back for good. Lets plan out a nice photo session!!!
The photos below was taken just now somewhere at Fendalton..
and last but not least,....self potrait..haha (can't help)
